STA Make a Splash with Everybody
To help shape and strengthen its future swim teacher training needs, Everybody Sport and Recreation has formed a new partnership with STA and become an approved training centre.
From August 2019, STA’s level 2 swimming teaching qualifications will start to be rolled out across Everybody Sport and Recreation’s nine swimming pool leisure sites, who together teach more than 7,800 learners through their junior, adult and disability swimming programmes.
In preparation for the roll-out, Kris Sankey, Everybody Sport and Recreation’s Senior Manager for Sports, Aquatics & Fitness, said: We decided to join STA because we know they deliver flexible, accredited, CIMSPA-endorsed learning that will meet the future needs of our swimming teachers. With STA we can also further develop our CPD programme which forms a key part of our continual investment in staff, and aims to improve delivery and customer service.
Becoming a Safety Training Awards approved training centre will also enable us to deliver and manage our own professional swimming training programmes internally; this will ensure continued high standards of delivery and teacher quality. Operationally, it will also allow us to control, plan and standardise the quality of training we deliver across of all our sites, in line with our staffing needs,
confirmed Kris.
Zoe Cooper, STA’s Sales and Marketing Director said: We are excited to be partnering with Everybody Sport and Recreation and to help them set up as an approved training centre, so they can reap all the benefits of being able to manage their own swimming teaching programmes internally.
