STA Makes a Splash at LIW
STA added a real exciting buzz to Leisure Industry Week this year, with the STA SwimZone taking centre stage and adding a positive burst of energy and focus to the pool and spa section of the show.
Theo Millward, STA’s Operations Director said: “LIW was awesome this year, and it was great to see everyone’s reaction to our new stand and the STA SwimZone, which both looked amazing. It created quite a wow factor and firmly positioned the STA as a professional and major organisation in the leisure industry.
After months of planning and predations, its success is thanks to the hard work of all the team. They also showed what an enthusiastic and multi-talented bunch they are too, with their lifesaving, swimming teaching, synchro, pool plant and Aquacise demonstrations in the pool!”
I would also like to thank all the swim schools and companies who contributed to the STA Swim Zone programme. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we were able to put on an exciting 3-day show and demonstrate the breadth of STA’s world leading products and services.
We now look forward to 2014 at Leisure Industry Week, where we hope to make the STA SwimZone even bigger and brighter.”
James Samuel, Event Director for Leisure Industry Week added: “Each year we look to how we can provide exciting and relevant features that will add to the experience of our visitors. We were delighted to have been able to work with STA to produce the STA Swimzone at LIW.
Not only did it provide a natural sense of excitement to have a swimming pool at the exhibition but more importantly the educational content it delivered via the demonstrations, which were highly successful and warmly received by our visitors. From aqua zumba, aqua running and aqua yoga to baby swimming, to lifesaving, this great feature enabled us to provide live demonstrations of how a pool can be used to help involve and engage more people in safe and fun water based sports activity. We have already confirmed the pool feature will be returning with STA next year and we look forward to further developing the programme.”
