From the Pool to the Boardroom
STA Launches New Podcast & Dives Deep Into the World of Aquatics
STA is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new podcast, which is set to offer expert advice and insights on everything related to aquatics, both in and out of the pool.
Over the coming months, industry leaders, experts, and experienced professionals will join the podcast to share their knowledge on topics ranging from business tips to lesson planning and much more.
The first episode, set to air on 29th January 2025, will feature Kaylë Brightwell, STA’s Director of Education, and Jodie Davis, STA’s Aquatics Development Officer, discussing the importance of swimming and what makes it great.
As part of this exciting new podcast series, listeners can also look forward to an in-depth conversation on 12th February 2025 with Zac Cheek from Excel Me, timed for National Apprenticeship Week. Zac will share his expertise, and his valuable insights into the apprenticeship opportunities available for employers.
STA’s plan is to release two episodes each month on every other Wednesday covering all things swimming, lifesaving, first aid and leisure operations, and each one will be accessible through all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
“We’re thrilled to bring these conversations to a wider audience,” said Dave Candler, STA’s CEO. “This podcast will not only celebrate the world of aquatics but will also provide the practical advice and guidance that professionals in the industry need to succeed. Our aim is to educate, inspire, and support everyone involved in the teaching and managing of grassroots swimming.”
