STA is riding high after becoming an ukactive 2018 awards finalist in two categories, for Supplier of the Year and for Outstanding Leader of the Year.

ukactive’s annual awards are the most prestigious within the physical activity sector; they recognise facilities, suppliers, operators, educational institutes, health practitioners and large corporations that have demonstrated exceptional standards in driving forward the physical activity agenda.

Zoe Cooper, STA’s Sales and Marketing Director said: The team at STA work diligently to supply and deliver the highest standards of swimming teaching, lifesaving, first aid and pool plant training, so for us to be recognised by ukactive, and to be chosen as a finalist in the Supplier of the Year awards category is really special.

As a team we are also delighted that our CEO, Dave Candler, has been named as a finalist in the Outstanding Leader of the Year awards category, added Zoe.

Dave is truly passionate about the leisure industry—he understands it and has a real affiliation with what operators need out of their training programmes. Since becoming STA’s CEO he has used this experience to not only enhance STA’s brand reputation and growth, but to positively forge new partnerships that will help to transform the future of the leisure industry. We are very proud of his achievements and that they have been recognised by ukactive.

ukactive will announce all the winners at a glittering awards ceremony during Active Uprising, which is being held in Manchester on 21st–23rd June 2018.
