STAadmin.co.uk Cited as an Example of Good Practice by Quest
In 2012, Inspire Leisure led the way by becoming the first local authority managed service to adopt STAadmin.co.uk for the purpose of managing and tracking operational safety, compliance, pool water quality, staff training and qualifications. This foresight has now been rewarded with Quest recognising this as an example of good practice.
During a recent routine assessment at Inspire Littlehampton, the Quest assessor highlighted STA’s online leisure management system as an ‘assessment strength’ for the Centre in its Directional Review Report.
The Quest report also went on to say that ‘the introduction of this new software based training and monitoring database to handle lifeguard records and performance is an example of good practice’.
Inspire Littlehampton was also commended for having excellent arrangements in place ‘covering the set-up, monitoring, training and delivery of pool water quality’ and that the system used at the Centre is worthy of further promotion to raise awareness of the methods and the outcomes achieved.
John Stride FCIMSPA, CEO of Inspire Leisure, said: “Quest is very important to Inspire Leisure; it is recognised as the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure, and provides the benchmark for industry standards, good practice and continuous development.
Therefore to have a management tool as sophisticated as STAadmin.co.uk in place, which dynamically tracks and records the key areas assessed by Quest, including staff training and qualification records, safety audits and pool plant, is very important and has made the assessment process seamless this year.”
“We work diligently to maintain and progress quality standards and STAadmin.co.uk has given us the technology to facilitate this and demonstrate best practice and compliance with the latest regulations,” added John.
