STA confirms that despite rising inflation there will be no price increases on membership and course fees in 2022, and for the tenth year in a row, prices will remain frozen on all certificate and badge awards.

Dave Candler, STA’s CEO added: “It goes without saying that the last two years have been incredibly hard for our industry, and now faced with rising living costs and increased energy prices as well, we want to do everything we can to support our members and customers by not increasing costs at this most critical time for grassroots swimming.”

“STA is a small charity, and we don’t receive any government funding, and we know these mounting inflationary pressures will impact us too, but at the heart of everything we do, our aim is to save lives – so the more we can do to keep costs to a minimum, to make sure our training courses and awards are affordable and accessible for all, the more we know our members and customers can do in support of our charitable objectives – and especially in this most important post-pandemic year, when we want to open up even more learn to swim opportunities for learners and train lots more swimming teachers,” confirmed Dave.

From STARFISH to the Advanced Swimming Awards, prices will continue to start from as little as £1.37 (exc. VAT) in 2022, with further discounts available for Swim Star Swim Schools and STA Academies. Members also have the option of purchasing all of our awards – certificates and badges – separately from the STA Swim Shop (full awards can also be purchased as usual).

With this also being STA’s 90th anniversary year, membership fees will also remain at £44 per year (annual rolling direct debit) and £49 per year (credit / debit for one year only), which includes public liability insurance (up to £10 million), professional indemnity Insurance (up to £1 million provided by Allianz) and access to exclusive resources and partnership discounts.
